Biography
Dr. Escolar joined the Mount Sinai Medical Center Columbia University Division of Cardiology in July 2009. A graduate of Universidad de Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Dr. Escolar trained at Washington Hospital Center - Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., where he completed a cardiology research fellowship and an internship and residency in internal medicine. He then moved to Miami where he finished his cardiology fellowship training at Mount Sinai. Board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, echocardiography and cardiology nuclear medicine, Dr. Escolar currently is an assistant clinical professor of Columbia University. He also is director of Mount Sinai's Coronary Care Unit and the Pulmonary Hypertension Program, and he is medical director of the hospital's Chest Pain Unit.
